Regarding the field operations, FINNMAP has invested in the latest technology resulting in high quality data and maximum efficiency. Our planes, navigation systems, digital cameras, portable laboratories, printing facilities etc. are of highest standard. For the processing, FINNMAP has for long now invested in digital technology as well as in automated processing tools. The utilisation of DGPS for navigation, centre point recording and only the highest quality scanners and plotters etc. guarantee that products match our tight quality criteria. FINNMAP is using Vexcel UltraCam digital cameras. Latest camera technology reduces the number of flight lines, saves time and lowers cost without sacrificing the quality of the product. High onboard storage capacity allows longer flights to take full advantage of flying conditions. The collection rate and geometric accuracy of the UltraCam cameras are an essential start point to produce high quality orthophotos.
